The American Museum of Natural History in New York has opened a new wing. The Gilder Center for Science and Education was designed by architect Jeanne Gang.

Inside, a large atrium serves 20,000 m2, and several new attractions, including an immersive experience around invisible worlds, a vivarium housing butterflies, a space dedicated to insects. Classrooms and a library complete the package. The project represents 465 million euros, or around $600 million. The museum has 34 million specimens held by the museum.
