Lufthansa expects the green light to acquire a stake in Ita Airways from the EU later this year. "The Group is working closely and constructively with the European Commission to reach a rapid conclusion and subsequent implementation of the transaction", explains the German group in a press release in which it released the 2023 accounts.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to the German airline group. The transaction is not expected to cost any more than $1 billion.
