The Federal Network Agency is trying to protect people in Germany from telephone fraud. Scammers try to get data or money from unsuspecting people by phone call or text message – some numbers don't call you.
The Agency can only take action against telephone numbers that are communicated to them. As early as December 2022, there were warnings of an increase in calls without a displayed phone number. Even Interpol warned of a scam where people are asked to pay customs duties in order to enable parcel delivery. Subsequently, attempts are being made to takeaction against these numbers.
