The Federal Network Agency is trying to protect people in Germany from telephone fraud. Scammers try to get data or money from unsuspecting people by phone call or text message – some numbers don't call you.
Even Interpol warned of a fraud attempts in order to prevent further investigations. According to the Federal, the numbers that are displayed will be switched off as quickly as possible in order in to prevent fraud attempts. The Federal can only take action against telephone numbers communicated to them. However, if fraudsters call without a displayed phone number, the origin of the call cannot be clarified.
