Filmmaker Paolo Taviani dies at 92. With his brother Vittorio he had won important awards with films such as 'Padre Padrone', 'The Night of the Falling Stars' or 'Caesar Must Die' The Taviani brothers were active for just over fifty years.

They were known for forming a strongly politicized couple and for being heirs to the cinematographic legacy of Roberto Rossellini. They saw each other almost every morning, looked for stories in the press or books, wrote the scripts and chose the actors.
