The Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, said that an investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the fire. The flames would have affected two basement floors of a residential building in the city, according to state TV TRT. The fire was reported to have started in the basement of a 16-story residential building. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
