Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, said that an investigation had been opened to determine the causes of the fire. The fire broke out in an apartment building in Gayrettepe, a neighborhood on the European side of Istanbul. The Masuerade Club is located in the building. The death toll has risen to 29 due to a fire that broke out.
