Three British citizens were killed along with 4 other humanitarian workers in the Israeli raid which hit a convoy of the American NGO WCK while it was bringing aid to the Gaza Strip. The other volunteers killed were a dual citizen of the USA and Canada, a Palestinian, a Pole and an Australian.
The British government summoned the Israeli ambassador to London after the killing of 7 volunteers, including three British citizens. An Israeli army drone repeatedly fired at the WCK aid convoy after "soldiers thought armed terrorists were in the group"
