Thousands of Palestinian families displaced from Kahn Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, are on their way back to the city following the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the area. The Israeli army has withdrawn its troops from the southern part of the Gaza Strip after a year-long offensive. The offensive was launched in response to Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel.
