Greta Thunberg stopped at a demonstration in The Hague. During an Extinction Rebellion protest along the A12 motorway.
The Swedish activist had joined the demonstrators intent on blocking the highway. Many of them, as reported by the newspaper, were stopped by the police deployed en masse. The action was called to protest against the environmental policies of the Dutch government. This is the thirty-seventh time that protesters have tried to block the A 12. Last week, during a similar protest in Amsterdam, 25 people were arrested.
