Haiti: Port-au-Prince returns to its jazz festival despite insecurity. PaPJazz, which ended on Sunday January 28, was postponed to 2022 then relocated in 2023 to Cap-Haitien (North) because of chronic insecurity in the capital.

The 17th edition welcomed foreign artists such as the American of Cameroonian origin Richard Bona and the Frenchman Ludovic Louis, as well as Haitian artists working in Haiti or from the diaspora. According to the Haiti Jazz Foundation, organizer, the festival welcomed between 550 and 850 people each evening from Thursday to Saturday.
