Marek Hamsik has announced his retirement from competitive activity of the season. The 35-year-old played 520 official matches (121 goals) with the Napoli shirt from 2007 to 2019.
Since 2021 he has been at Trabzonspor, and last season he was one of the main architects of the league victory of this team that had not won the Turkish title for 38 years. "It wasn't an easy decision, but it is. Mine was a wonderful adventure," he says.
