A fog rainbow, white in color, was recorded this morning in the north of the country. The phenomenon is similar to the colorful rainbow we know, but is formed in fog rather than rain.
Because of the very small size of the water droplets in the fog - less than 0.05 millimeters - the colors in such a rainbow are very weak. Nadav Israeli, a birder with the Society for the Protection of Nature and a resident of the Galilee, recorded the phenomenon.
