Bruno Cartechini, an 86-year-old from Corridonia (Macerata), died during the night in the intensive care unit in Ancona. He had been hospitalized since March 31, in his home in the Macina district, around 6 am.
He shot his wife Palma Romagnoli, also 86 years old, suffering from Alzheimer's and with walking problems, stuck in bed. After having fired at his wife, he had turned the weapon against himself, shooting himself in the abdomen.
