A 37-year-old man was driving a car accompanied by his family on National Route 7. He evaded a police checkpoint located near San Andrés de Giles.

After the evasion, at a toll, a patrol car began to chase him. The Chevrolet Astra lost control, crossed the central border of the highway and collided with a Nissan SUW truck, which was traveling in the opposite lane.
