A large-scale urban renewal program is underway in Kiryat Yam. The plan includes the evacuation of 452 old apartments and the construction of 1,868 apartments in buildings of 10 to 29 floors on the first line to the sea.
There are currently 452 residential units in 14 residential buildings of 3-5 floors, which will be evacuated for the new project. In addition to the housing units, the plan proposes about 13,000 square meters of mixed-use employment and commerce opposite the coastal strip.
