The Oscar Comedy Club has been run for thirty years by Monika. She has introduced parity into her programming since September.
“Because women are no less talented than men. We have to be equal,” she says. The club is one of the oldest in Paris, and is run by a Polish-born woman, who has lived in Paris for 30 years, since she was a child. She calls him Oscar, the first name of her Polish dad, creator of an artists' room in Warsaw.
