In 2023, Italy's GDP will be +0.9%, exceeding government forecasts. In 2023 the deficit-GDP ratio stood at 7.2%, compared to 8.6% in 2022.
Nadef forecasts were for a deficit of 5.3% of GDP. But the data released today is higher than the NadeF forecast which set GDP growth in 2023 at 0.8%. The estimate released on January 30th based on quarterly surveys instead indicated an increase in GDP of 0.7%.
