In L'Aquila Marsilio wins with a margin of almost 43 thousand votes. His opponent D'Amico prevailed only in 10 out of 108 municipalities.
The two municipalities where the centre-left prevailed had a local candidate, a much more frequent practice in the center-right. The percentages with the which, however,Marsilio won in these small municipalities has greatly shifted the final outcome. It ranged from 88.14% of Castelvecchio Calviso with its 59 overall votes, 86.9% of Collepietro and 84.17% of Trasacco.
