The label is awarded to places whose vocation is “to preserve and transmit the memory of women and men who distinguished themselves in the political, social and cultural history of France” The residence was in fact the creative home of the famous singer and composer.

“He always remained this little immigrant boy fleeing Russia and madly in love with France and its culture,” she said of her father.
