Funeral of Victor-Emmanuel of Savoy, son of the last king of Italy, took place in Turin. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Queen Sophie of Spain, Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg were among the attendees.
The octogenarian died in Helvetia, the country which welcomed him for decades. His son, Prince Emmanuel-Philibert, arrived with red eyes, in the company of his wife, the actress Clotilde Courau. He recently expressed the wish to abdicate "when the time comes, in ten or fifteen years perhaps", for the benefit of his eldest daughter.
