The Portuguese Parliament has approved again, and without amendment, the text of the law on medically assisted dying. The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, had vetoed on April 19.

Since March 2021, when the Constitutional Court rejected the first legislative text on euthanasia as "excessively indeterminate" in definition, the law has been rejected four times in all. The last one, in fact, less than a month ago, was rejected by the President.
