Every year, countless animals are hit, attacked by dogs or cats, or otherwise injured while wandering through town and country. In Germany, a legal distinction is made between found animals and homeless animals.
If you find an injured pet, your best bet is to call your veterinarian or regional veterinary emergency service. Do not transport the animal yourself, as this would be considered poaching.
