Insect found in vial of hospital IV solution - Healthcare. A fly-like insect was found in the intact 100 milliliter vial.
The discovery was made by a doctor on duty at the Internal Medicine complex while preparing an IV. The batch was therefore blocked and immediately withdrawn from the hospitals of Foligno and Spoleto (not present in the healthcare facilities of the province of Terni) AIFA was informed through the "Defect reporting form, communication of discovery of defects or presence of foreign bodies"
