Istat, 1.4 million female entrepreneurs, 64.8% without employees. In the class of 50 years and over, women represent 26.5% of all entrepreneurs.
The vast majority of female entrepreneurs operate in the Services sector (90.7% compared to 74.9% of entrepreneurs), in which women represent just over a third (34.2%) of all Entrepreneurs. Istat reports that 34.5 per cent of women entrepreneurs have obtained a tertiary qualification compared to 23.4% of men.
