Istat, consumer confidence rises in February, declines for businesses. However, the companies remain at the average level of the last six months.
In February 2024, contrasting signals emerge from the climate of opinion of economic operators. The consumer confidence index "continues to grow, without interruption, since last November and reaches the highest level since June 2023", according to Istat. The confidence index decreases in all four economic sectors investigated, albeit with different intensities: in construction and, above all, in retail trade.
