Travelers whose bikes stick out over the taillights should definitely consider whether they actually want to travel to Italy loaded like that. There is currently no legal certainty, as a court decision is not expected until summer 2024 at the earliest. A fine of up to 10,000 euros is possible if you keep a certain household item in your car.
