Scott Cooper is making a film about Bruce Springsteen. The film, directed by Scott Cooper and titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, will take fans back to the early 1980s.

To play the "Boss," the director chose Jeremy Allen White, awarded the Globes for his role in the hit series "The Bear." The film has the full support of David Greenbaum, the new president of Walt Disney Studios. No release date has been announced. The project should go behind the scenes of the singer's sixth album, titled "Nebraska," according to Springsteen's official website. The novel, published last May, tells "the fascinating story of the making of what is perhaps Bruce Springsteen's most surprising album," the singer said in a statement. For Jon Landau, the manager of the "Boss," the novel is "one of the best ever written about Bruce and his music," according to the singer.
