Suffering from Kawasaki disease, he died in 2009, barely a teenager. The actor and Kelly Preston had three children together: Ella (24 years old), (Jett, disappeared at 16 years old) and Benjamin (14 years old). The couple's eldest daughter also commented on her father's publication: "Happy birthday my Jetty." The actor never recovered from the death of his child, saying it was “the worst thing that ever happened to him in his life.” “The truth is I didn’t know if I was going to make it. Life no longer interested me,” he said in 2014, adding that he didn't know if he would survive the heart attack that claimed his son's life. “He will always be in your heart forever and ever,’ it reads.
