Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, oldest man in the world, dies at the age of 114. Born in 1909 in Venezuela, he had held the record for two years, after succeeding the Spaniard Saturnino d la Fuente García.
Father of 11 children, in 2022 he had 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great- grandchildren. The absolute record for humanity is still held by the Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the aged of 122 years and 164 days.
