Supermarket Kaufland is introducing a new payment system. Customers will soon be able to pay for purchases with the in-house app.
The supermarket giant, which belongs to the Schwarz Group, is working with two other companies. It is possible that some customers will rely on it instead of the new Girocard, which could have consequences for shopping. Kaufland Pay is expected to be released in autumn 2023 and will be available to customers in Germany from autumn. The new system can be used regardless of the amount to be paid, and there is no need for the Internet.
