David Lynch sent Kyle MacLachlan a video message congratulating him on his Canal + Icon Award. The actor presented his series Fallout as part of the Canneséries Festival on Saturday April 6.
Fallout is a pop and offbeat series adapted from a video game, in which Ella Purnell, the one who plays his daughter, also plays. The latter describes her filming partner as a "very generous" person, whose presence helped her become "a better performer". Their show can be seen from Thursday April 11 on Amazon Prime. The most memorable moment for me is of course the one I shared with David Lynch here, a few years ago, when we presented the first two episodes of our new series Twin Peaks. This is a very big production, maybe because I started playing in Dune (1984), which is closer to this type of film. I like to subvert expectations. Timothée Chalamet, who recently played Timmy in Blue Velvet, is a more intimate performance.
