[HIGHLIGHTS] L'Aquila, on the evening of 5 April the torchlight procession, then the memory of the victims at the Memory Park - L'Aquila 2009 - 2024

Fifteen years after the tragedy, L'Aquila commemorates the 309 victims who lost their lives during the night between 5 and 6 April 2009. The route of the procession will wind along Via XX Settembre starting from 9.30pm, with a short stop in front of the Student House and will end at the Parco della Memoria.

Following the lighting of the brazier, the names of the earthquake victims will be read out. This year, due to the work underway on Piazza Duomo, the beam of light will be lit from Palazzo Margherita.
