Last hours of high pressure and smog, rain and snow from Thursday. Last few days of exceptional heat with values 10-11 degrees higher than the averages for the period and lots of smog.
From Thursday, slowly, the thermometer will move back towards the climatology of the period. A cyclone with cold air could descend towards the Mediterranean which will bring widespread rain, and light snowfall in the Alps. On Friday we will instead have very heavy snowfalls (over half a meter) above 1000-1500 meters in the central-eastern Alps.
