Les Flammes is the second ceremony created after the Prix Joséphine. There are twenty-one categories in the Flames, thirteen of which are open to public voting, with three artists per category.

The Théâtre du Châtelet is sold out, with more than 2,000 spectators. But at 22:30 p.m., the broadcast of the ceremony on Booska-P's Youtube channel attracted only 43,000 viewers. "More than a competition, it's a celebration of cultures from working-class neighborhoods," says comedian Fary.
