The 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival starts this Tuesday. The festival has been criticized for its lack of female directors.

There are 21 films in a competition with 21% by female directors, says Thierry Frémaux, artistic director of the festival. The first film to be shown is 'Closing Your Eyes', by 82-year-old Víctor Erice, directed by Pedro Almodóvar, with Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke. It is the first feature film by Harrison Ford, who says goodbye to Indiana Jones with 'Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny'
