Luis Merino was one of the most powerful men in Spanish music. He was deputy director of Los 40 Principales (today Los40) and later director of the music radios of the Prisa group.

His weakness is The Beatles, of which he accumulates 4,000 objects. A book has just been published (written by Tudi Martín) which tells a career that extends over five decades of love for music and radio, Cuando la música era redonda (Sílex Ediciones)
