[HIGHLIGHTS] Major passport innovation planned – it will be significantly more expensive for holidaymakers

From 1 January 2024, a new version of the German children's passport will be available. It will be three times more expensive than the current version.

The new document will be issued to children under the age of 24. The current passport is valid for six years, but can be extended for a further year. It can be used to travel to any country in the world, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
