Martin Scorsese met Pope Francis at the Vatican on Saturday. The director of The Last Temptation of Christ is working on a new film about Jesus.
He spoke at a conference titled "The Global Aesthetics of the Catholic Imagination" He also spoke about his admiration for Pier Paolo Pasolini's The Gospel According to St. Matthew. He is currently in Cannes to present Killers of the Flower Moon, his latest film. The film is set to be released on May 25.
