Israel today withdrew its delegation from the ongoing negotiations in Doha on the Gaza truce. The decision followed the position taken by Hamas which, after the UN resolution on the ceasefire in Gaza, last night informed the mediators of Qatar and Egypt that it would not abandon its demands on the negotiations.

The withdrawal of the army Israeli from the Strip is seen as a key part of the deal to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The negotiations are expected to continue until the end of the week.
