Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz and five families of the hostages will leave tomorrow for a diplomatic visit to Italy. The objective of the trip is "to convince the Italians to withdraw their opposition to the operation in Rafah, block requests for a unilateral ceasefire in the European Union and increase pressure on Lebanon," according to Ynet.
The delegation is also to maintain Israeli legitimacy in continuing the fighting and promoting the issue of the abductees, according to the Ynet report. The trip is scheduled to last from tomorrow to Friday.
