The attacks mainly targeted the Rostov region, which hosts the military headquarters of Russia's operation in Ukraine. "Several attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aerial drones were thwarted," read a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Overall, 53 drones were shot down or intercepted, including 44 in the RostOV region (south), the note adds. The Russian army announced that it had neutralized 53 drones in various regions of the country, including Rostov and Yekaterinburg.
