From October 2024, car tires must bear the Alpine symbol in order to be considered suitable for winter. Tires that only have an M+S marking no longer do this. Anyone who uses the wrong winter tires from October 2024 risks a hefty fine and a point in Flensburg. If a driver does not adhere to the new tire regulations, they face a fine of 60 euros.
