The Trusted Brand Study 2024 reveals Germans’ favorite brands. There was a change at the top in three sectors.

With 463 votes, Edeka is the undisputed number one retail company. The race between trading companies remains remarkably constant. All three large German discounters once again missed the podium (Kaufland in 6th place, Lidl in 4th place). Netto follows in 7th place. The results of a popularity study at the end of 2023 were even more disappointing for Aldi and LIDl, which did not make it into the top ten. More than half (55 percent) think a good year for them will be a good one for them (compared to last year's 48 percent) The study not only examines trust in brands, but also in the moods of Germans. Here comes some positive news: Germans are more optimistic about the future than last year. The study was conducted by Reader's Digest magazine and polled 4,000 people.
