Ministry of Health confirms a long-awaited plan, and a budget of 1.1 million euros. Announcements come two days before the presentation of a bill on the end of life.

France now occupies fifteenth place among OECD (Organization for Development and Economic Cooperation) countries in terms of density of healthcare provision. The bill will be presented in the Council of Ministers, a major societal reform of President Macron's second five-year term. The government's strategy is to create universal access to palliative care over the next ten years.
