Only 10% of 5th grade middle school students have received a first dose of papillomavirus vaccine. The figure is far from the expectations of the Ministry of Health, which had set itself the objective of reaching 30% of college students vaccinated by the end of the year.
At the beginning of January, officials from the French Society of Colposcopy and Cervicovaginal Pathology judged that this vaccination was far from expectations. The campaign may also have been affected by the death of a schoolboy near Nantes, the victim of a fall after post-vaccination discomfort.
