The Paris Book Festival attracted 103,000 visitors from Friday to Sunday. Almost half of them under 25 announced its organizers.

The event succeeded in 2022 the Paris Book Fair, created in 1981. The last of the 39 editions under the old format attracted 160,000 in March 2019. The literary meeting will move to the Grand Palais in April 2025 after its reopening following work, this year had Quebec, the French-speaking province of Canada, as guest of honor. Book sales up 6% while the purchase of books increased by 6%, the organizers said. The book festival is held near the Eiffel Tower and other locations in the capital, with a record in this new format launched in 2022 to replace the Book Fair. It will be held for the third time at the ephemeral GrandPalais, before moving to a new venue in April 2023, the organizers announced. The first edition of the literary meeting was held in April 1981, 100 days before the Paris Olympics.
