Élisabeth Platel is the head of the Paris Opera Dance School. She currently has 154 students, exactly as many as there are dancers in the ballet.

The shows, from April 13 to 16 at the Palais Garnier, followed on April 17 by a dance school gala. “For the school shows, I chose a link, that of French music, and I wanted to promote the French repertoire with two choreographers from theParis Opera,” she says. The shows are an opportunity to take stock of the challenges of the institution created by Louis XIV. The executives are exploding and Élisabeth is opening up to the reflection that is being organized. Calmly, she says,  and it's a good time to be a dance student in France.  A junior ballet, schools in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Santiago de Chile and Brazil, mistreatment in dance put back on the agenda by Aurélie Dupont's Memoirs, accusations of racism within ballet.
