Pentagon, Iranian units and militias in Iraq and Syria hit. According to the NGO Observatory for Human Rights in Syria, at least 13 pro-Iranian militiamen were killed in American raids in Syria alone.
US military forces struck more than 85 targets, with numerous aircraft including long-range bombers flown from the U.S. The Pentagon has confirmed the raids were conducted against the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated militia groups. The raids were carried out in Syria and Iraq.
