Peter Eötvös, Hungarian composer and conductor, dies at the age of 80. Between the ages of 16 and 22, this Transylvanian received commissions for cinema and theater in Budapest.

He does not hierarchize, scholarly and popular, acoustic and electronic, loving Miles Davis as much as Messiaen or Frank Zappa. His sources of inspiration: nature, but also the cosmos. His teacher at the Franz Liszt Academy, Janos Viski, introduced him to the avant-garde music of Webern, Boulez and Stockhausen.
